Alfred Keilen will open Boston's first Vapiano restaurant at the corner of Stuart Street and Charles Street South. The new 5,400-square-foot location will feature an outdoor lounge along Stuart Street and a large outdoor patio along Charles Street South for dinner. The new Vapiano is located in the theatre district near a new W Hotel and just a block away from Boston Common.
Keilen, his wife Steffi, and three children, relocated from Germany to Boston earlier this year to become the Vapiano franchisee.
"I was originally a CPA in Germany with Vapiano as a client, so I am familiar with owning my own company and was able to see first hand the upside of the Vapiano business," he said. "I first fell in love with Boston when I was 15 years old and always wanted to move my family here so when the chance to move to Boston, and also operate the Vapiano franchises came up, it was a dream opportunity."
