California sandwich chain Togo's Eateries Inc. and majority owner private equity firm Mainsail Partners have announced the addition of Dennis Lombardi, executive vice president of WD Partners, to Togo's Sandwiches board of managers.
"(Lombardi) is one of the most highly respected leaders in the restaurant industry, and we look forward to collaborating with him for our Togo's brand," said Tony Gioia, Togo's chairman and chief executive officer.
Lombardi is considered a restaurant industry "guru" and is one of the top thought-leaders in foodservice today. He serves as executive vice president of foodservice strategies at WD Partners, a design and development firm for multiunit retail and restaurant organizations, where he directs restaurant projects using in-depth consumer research, industry trends, growth strategies and concept positioning.
"Togo's is such an iconic brand with a long history, and I am particularly impressed with its longstanding loyal customer base," Lombardi said. "I'm excited to join Togo's Board and be associated with such an impressive team of industry veterans."
