Chipotle Mexican Grill's founder and co-CEO Steve Ells told a group of investors the company is scouting locations in France and Germany. Ells made the comment during a presentation at a Cowen and Company conference Jan. 12.
Chipotle has more than 900 locations and is planning to open its first London location in April. It also has a location open in Tornoto.
In a recent Reuters article, Ells is quoted as saying Rex Jones, the company's chief development officer, is solely focused on international development.
