Business professional Souhel Stephan Tarakji has signed a master franchise deal to open more than 30 Freshii restaurants in Orange County, Calif., over the next six years, according to a company statement.
There are currently 16 units in Chicago and Toronto, several new restaurants currently under construction and more than 200 units in varying stages of development across the United States in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Denver, New York City, Houston and Philadelphia, and in Canada in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto. The chain also has international development plans underway in Dubai and Vienna, Austria with the first global restaurant set to open in Spring of 2010.
Prior to joining Freshii, Tarakji was a principal owner of multi-million dollar wholesale telecommunications company for eight years.
