Wingstop opens 50th Houston location

Wingstop has opened its 50th location in the Houston area, in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Wingstop franchise owner Carol Porter first introduced Wingstop to Houston 10 years ago. In 2009, Wingstop was named the "Preferred Wings of the Houston Texans" sports team and today the market ties with Los Angeles as the second largest for growth.

"Wingstop has a tremendous presence in the Houston area, and that's thanks to our loyal guests, great product and experienced network of restaurant owners and operators," Khoa Ngo, president of the Wingstop Houston Co-op, said in a news release. "We're very proud of our status with the Texans and Wingstop's place in the Houston community."

The 50th store is owned and operated by Noel Silva and his wife Angie.
