Calbi Fusion Tacos and Burritos, the Los Angeles-based gourmet Korean-fusion mobile food chain, has opened its first out-of-state mobile food venue.
On April 21, Calbi will begin selling its Korean-fusion tacos and burritos on the streets of Austin, Texas. To celebrate, Calbi trucks will be offering its Austin customers $1.00 tacos from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 21. The trucks' standard operating hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. "Austin is a hot spot for nightlife, entertainment and cuisine. With the University of Texas, and a number of large corporations headquartered in the vicinity, Austin provides extensive opportunity for Calbi to gain exposure, popularity, and a following," Calbi president Coleen Craig said in a news release. "The demand for excellent food at reasonable prices is everywhere. We look forward to the success of this gourmet mobile food truck in the months and years to come."
