Pizza Fusion has launched School Organic Pizza Fridays to help children and their families eat a healthy diet that helps to prevent cancer, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other ailments linked to pesticide consumption.
Recent studies have found links to children's exposure to pesticides in food and the incidence of ADHD. A study published on May 17 in the Official Journal of The American Academy of Pediatrics links ADHD in children to their exposure to pesticides on the non-organic fruits and vegetables they consume. According to a 2008 Emory University study and the recently published President's Cancer Panel Report, switching to organic foods reduces the presence of pesticide compounds in children's bodies to near-undetectable levels.
