Planet Smoothie locations will celebrate breast cancer survivors by offering the first 50 customers who purchase a Pink Promise Smoothie on June 21 a Planet Smoothie promotional card with a free download of Candy Coburn's song "Pink Warrior." National country music artist Coburn is the Susan G. Komen for the Cure ambassador.
In addition, customers have the opportunity to sign the "Make a Promise" wall banner where they will pledge to make their commitment to a healthy lifestyle, monthly breast self exams and to share the promise with friends and family.
The event is in honor of the recent launch of the Pink Promise Smoothie, created by Planet Smoothie's nutritionist and approved by Susan G. Komen for the Cure's breast health experts. The Pink Promise Smoothie is the first smoothie product developed in partnership to benefit Komen for the Cure. For every Pink Promise Smoothie sold, Planet Smoothie will donate $.50 to Komen for the Cure, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000 in the first year of the partnership.
The Pink Promise Smoothie features a blend of pomegranate juice, ruby red grapefruit juice, strawberries and Planet Smoothie's new proprietary yogurt, Pro-Yo, which is sweetened with stevia and contains both prebiotics and probiotics.
