Cowboy Chicken has selected ANXeBusiness Corp. as the endorsed provider of security and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard solutions for its brand and franchise community.
The announced alliance supports Cowboy Chicken's initiative to keep sensitive customer card data safe from cyber criminals using ANX's SecurePCI solution, said Sean Kennedy, president, Cowboy Chicken.
"Cyber-crime poses a significant threat to any business that accepts credit cards," Kennedy said. "Our partnership with ANX allows us to protect our customer's information and our brand from these criminals."
The solution provides each Cowboy Chicken location with $100,000 of data breach protection services. SecurePCI also includes a comprehensive managed security and compliance solution featuring security technology and powerful tools to make achieving PCI compliance faster and easier for Cowboy Chicken locations, he said.
"In order to protect customers' credit card and personal information Cowboy Chicken implemented our SecurePCI platform for safe transactions and collaboration," said Mark Wayne, executive VP of ANX. "Today it is more important than ever for restaurant operators to prevent a customer data breach, and protect their customers with best-in-class security as well as their brand from being damaged by cyber criminals."
Bringing Kettle Chips back
Cowboy Chicken has brought back its made-to-order hot crispy Kettle Chips due to customer demand. In addition, the Dallas-based chicken chain is offering a complimentary cup of Tortilla Soup with any entree purchased through the end of February.
"We had removed our fresh, hot and made to order Kettle Chips from the menu several months ago," Kennedy said. "Our guests love them so much they let us know they would like them back. We listened."
