FREEBIRDS World Burrito has opened its latest unit in Lawrence, Kan., under FB Midwest Development LLC, the first franchisee of FREEBIRDS World Burrito. To celebrate the grand opening on Jan. 31, FREEBIRDS gave the first 25 guests in line free burritos for a year.

The new FREEBIRDS, located at 741 Massachusetts St., will employ about 60 team members from the local community.
