Pie Face, New York's Aussie pie shop is hosting #PiePalooza, a four-day celebration in honor of its first anniversary stateside. The event, which will be held at both NYC Pie Face units, begins Jan. 23 on National Pie Day and ends on Jan. 26, which is Australia Day in Australia. Aussies celebrate the national holiday to remember their origins and celebrate their achievements.
The chain will salute its native Land Down Under in NYC with giveaways and festivities, including:
- National Pie Day: Forget apple pie and celebrate National Pie Day like the Aussies do, with meat pies. The chain's Pie Patrol girls will be out and about in the city (near the pie shops in Murray Hill and Midtown West), passing out free samples of Pie Face's savory selections.
- Pie Face Prize Wheel: Customers visiting a Pie store can spin the Pie Face Prize Wheel for a chance to win prizes.
- Party Like an Aussie: Host your own Australia Day party with a catered "brekkie," lunch or dinner. Pie Face Aussie Style Buffets include an assortment of freshly baked savory pies, along with mashed potatoes, smashed peas and gravy. Sweets platters and snacks are also available.
