Barberitos Franchising Inc. opened its newest location in Yulee, Fla., ending 2012 with 43 stores signed. Currently, there are 30 stores open for business. A few more are set to open in the spring of 2013, in Cary, N.C., Kingsport, Tenn., and Tallahasse, Fla., said Downing Barber, founder and CEO of the company.

System-wide sales for the 2012 year were up 24.09 percent from 2011, and same-store sales were up in 2012 as well from the previous year by 10.52 percent. The company is looking forward to passing the 50-store milestone by the end of 2013, Barber said.
