Seattle's Best Coffee, part of Starbucks Corporation, has announced that its commuter-centric concept menu will be featured in a new Brooklyn, N.Y., franchise location.

The unit, which opens June 21, is operated by franchisee Eddie Shamah.

The concept menu, which debuted as a test in Chicago in March, includes coffee beverages, sandwiches and snacks that will appear for the first time on the East Coast.

"We are pleased with how customers are responding to our new menu concept," said Jim McDermet, senior vice president and general manager of Seattle's Best Coffee. "As we grow our retail footprint, our focus is to provide high-quality coffee and food to customers who are always on-the-go and looking for convenience. We're looking forward to expanding this strategy to our first location in Brooklyn."

In addition to the commuter-friendly menu, the location was selected to appeal to an expanding audience of customers.

"With the construction of the Barclays Center, more New Yorkers will find Brooklyn as a place where they work, live or play," said Eddie Shamah, franchisee and president of Shamah Enterprises. "We're looking forward to becoming an integral part of the expanding downtown Brooklyn community and can't wait to introduce New Yorkers to a fast, friendly and delicious Seattle's Best Coffee experience."

Menu highlights include:

  • Customizable Brewed Coffee: A choice of Original or Dark, as well as flavored creamers.
  • Signature Coffee Drinks: The brand's latest signature beverages – available hot, iced or blended – such as Birthday Cake lattes and S'mores mochas;
  • Hearty Sandwiches: Breakfast sandwiches are made in house and available on either a biscuit or a muffin, and warm pretzel bread stuffed with a choice of either turkey or ham round out lunch options;
  • On-The-Go Snacks: The cafe will offer muffins, cookies and other snacks such as Sour Cream Coffee Cake, individual Caramel Apple Pies and a Cheese Pretzel Danish.
