Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has announced that Panda Restaurant Group has increased their fundraising 123 percent over the previous year. In 2011, Panda guests and associates raised $864,886 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals throughout North America. More than $300,000 benefitted Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
In conjunction with National Nurses Week, CEOs from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Panda Restaurant Group gathered on May 10 at which time Panda presented a check to Children's Hospital Los Angeles and announced its commitment to raise $1 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in 2012. Panda also brought in lunch for the nursing staff and hosted a party for pediatric patients in the rehabilitation unit.

Panda has been a corporate partner of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 2007. The philanthropic branch of the company, the Panda Cares Program, promotes the spirit of giving and establishes a caring presence in communities where Panda Restaurant Group's guests and associates live and work. In addition to the funds raised for children's hospitals through an associate giving campaign, coin canisters and golf tournaments, Panda has also contributed through in-kind donations to patient families and to support fundraising events across the nation.
