Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation, a Delaware Corporation, has signed a letter of intent to purchase Boca Raton, Fla.-based Pizza Fusion Holdings.
Pizza Fusion is an organic and eco-friendly pizza restaurant franchise and 2010 Hot Concept Award Winner that has received many other awards since its conception in 2006.
James Vowler, president and CEO of Unique Pizza and Subs, said the two brands' menus and concepts are very different, and the company plans to unite their experience to help grow both franchises.
"I was extremely impressed with the Pizza Fusion concept from the first time I met (founder and CEO) Vaughan (Lazar) approximately two years ago. Later that day, I had the pleasure of sampling his pizza and was able learn more about his organic-based franchise," Vowler added.
Lazar added, "James Vowler knows this business inside and out and will be an enormous asset to the growth of the Pizza Fusion brand. We have a lot of projects in the pipeline and the opportunity to work with Jim and Unique Pizza to see them through is exciting for both parties."
The acquisition is subject to the execution of a definitive agreement and other conditions including the availability of working capital.
