Smashburger taps Twist as regional AOR

Smashburger has named Twist as its St. Louis agency of record ahead of a 12-unit expansion in the market. The first Smashburger in the St. Louis area will open in St. Charles, Mo., on July 20, with a second planned for Chesterfield, Mo,. in the fall.

All 12 restaurants are planned to open within the next four years and will be locally owned and operated by Smashburger franchisee David Schweitzer, president of STL Smash LLC.

Twist will execute Smashburger's grand openings, communications, marketing and public relations efforts and will increase awareness of the brand in the St. Louis market.
