Saladworks signs multi-unit deal in Boston

Saladworks has announced an agreement with a multi-unit developer to open three stores over the next three years in Boston.

The locations will be opened by franchisee Tien Tien Lai, owner of an IT consulting business in Boston.

Founded in 1986, Saladworks operates 100 locations in 12 states, including one in Cambridge, Mass. The chain also closed in on $70 million in revenue in 2010.

“Saladworks was very easy to work with. Even though I have no experience in running a restaurant, I went from exploring the franchise to signing the agreement in a month’s time. Their franchise document offered me much more information than I got from other franchise chains,” Lai said.
