Celebrity chef Bobby Flay will open a location of his fast casual burger concept restaurant, Bobby's Burger Palace, in the new luxury student housing complex Varsity in College Park, Md.
The restaurant will occupy 3,500 square feet and is slated to open Sept. 1.
"With the recent opening of BBP in Philadelphia, we are looking forward to continuing our expansion in the MidAtlantic region, especially in the heart of the thriving college community at the University of Maryland," Flay said.
Bobby's Burger Palace will join other retail and restaurants in the complex that have already been announced, including Royal Farms and Looney's Pub.
The 901-bed Varsity is located adjacent to the University of Maryland campus. The complex will offer 20,000 square feet of retail space on the ground level, covered parking for retail customers and residents, and a fitness center, business center and game room for students. The Varsity will open in August.
