Tossed has announced its Fourth Annual National Salad Contest, created to give customers the opportunity to add their salad combinations on Tossed menus nationwide. From May 1 until midnight ET on May 31, guests are encouraged to submit their favorite original salad recipe via the entry form on Tossed's website. The winning entry will be offered as a Tossed menu choice across the country during the month of July.
Last year's contest winner was Tropical Spice, a combination of baby spinach, blackened chicken, sugar snap peas, red onions, pineapple and roasted peppers with fat-free honey Dijon dressing. Tropical Spice, the work of customer Angela Whaler of New York, N.Y., was a hit with diners.
The winner of the Tossed Fourth Annual National Salad Contest will be selected by a panel of Tossed executives, who will evaluate each entry on taste, creativity and visual appeal. Suggested salads also must include a recipe name.
