At this year's Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, WAND Corp. showcased its broad array of digital menu board solutions, but also highlighted a point-of-purchase board it has developed with fast casual restaurant chain Cosi.
WAND's digital interactive nutrition display is a POP board designed to help customers waiting in line to order look at the various toppings available and quickly see how those toppings change the nutrition information of their order.
The touch-enabled display also allows restaurateurs to easily change the information as needed, such as when they change vendors or brands, which can affect nutrition information or calorie counts.
"Then it doubles back to a POP board that's trying to sell you things when it's not doing that," said Myles Mjolsnes, digital product manager for WAND Corp.
