Moe's Original Bar B Que will open two units in mid-February, marking the chains 17th and 18th restaurant locations.

The stores will open in Auburn, Ala., and Atlanta.

"Beyond the incredible food, there is a great sense of culture that goes along with the Moe's Original Bar B Que brand and we found that appealing," said Moe's Atlanta co-owner Preston Smith.

In 1988, founding partner Mike Fernandez hooked up with Moses Day in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and began learning to fire roast meats. Mike and his partners Ben Gilbert and Jeff Kennedy learned how to barbecue meats from Day and his distinct style makes up Moe's original flavor of BBQ.

The concept started in Vail, Colo., and now exists in Colorado, Alabama and Georgia.
