We all know about the dreaded "Freshman 15," but one fast casual chain is trying to inspire its customers to go the opposite route. Chicago-based Freshii has launched "Freshii15," an eating plan based on customization and devised to help busy customers stay committed to their nutritional and health goals.
The Freshii15 plan was designed by Ashley Koff, RD, a celebrity dietician whose resume includes contributions to Good Morning America, E! News, O Magazine, ESPNW and more.
The objective is to allow customers to enjoy a variety of foods with the right nutrients to keep them energized.
"The ideal eating occasion contains a balance of carbohydrate, protein, healthy fat and unlimited vegetables," said Koff. ''Rather than counting calories, we are seeing a trend of weight loss programs focusing on balancing nutrients and customizing healthy ingredients, and that's great because it works by aligning with the body's true needs — after all, we know that all calories are not created equal."
The Freshii15 menu offers signature items, while sticking with the chain's customization process. It includes bowls filled with brown rice, roasted chicken and egg whites, as well as salads featuring tofu, avocado and mango.
Freshii15 offers an easy-to-follow, custom-built option with a diverse list of ingredients from which to choose. The wide range of offerings is the impetus behind this plan's anticipated success for customers.
