Saladworks has signed two new agreements with franchisees to further develop the Pennsylvania market.
The two new deals will expand the fresh-tossed salad chain to more than 40 units in the Keystone State.
Franchisees Victor and Maureen Pulizzano, of Doylestown, Pa., will expand Saladworks in Bucks County. The husband and wife team looked into franchising after Victor’s job at a bank was eliminated.
With more than 35 years of experience, he saw the lay-off as an opportunity to be his own boss. Maureen’s experience at a title agency in Philadelphia added even more business background. The two decided Saladworks was the right fit for them while eating at one of the chain’s locations.
“We share a passion for food, cooking, and ultimately the Saladworks concept,” said Victor Pulizzano. “We’re looking forward to our future together and our future with Saladworks.”
The father, son and brother-in-law team of Sapan Shah, Surendra Shah, and Miteshkumar Sevak, all first time franchisees, will expand Saladworks into Lehigh Valley, Pa.
“We’re all vegetarians, so the Saladworks concept was a natural fit for us as consumers and now as franchisees,” said Sapan Shah.
Saladworks recently solidified another franchise deal in Pennsylvania in October.
