Saladworks has signed a three-store agreement with a multi-unit developer for the Austin, Texas market. Earlier this month, the franchise announced its first Texas deal for three stores in Dallas. New fans can expect the first Austin store in mid 2011.
Clint Wilkinson, Saladworks’ newest franchisee, spent more than 15 years in the furniture retail business and hotel management before he decided it was time to be his own boss.
“I had years of operational and management experience, but it was time for me to do something independently, and franchising is the way to go to achieve your best chance of success,” Wilkinson said. “I also wanted more nutritious, healthy food options in Austin, so when I came across the Saladworks franchise, I knew it was the perfect fit for me.”
Austin was recently named one of the country’s healthiest cities by the American College of Sports Medicine’s Fitness Index, and Texas was named as one of the “fittest” states by Shape Magazine.
