On November 8, Freshii will open its doors at locations in both San Francisco and Chicago.
In S.F., the city's second Freshii restaurant will open at the Embarcadero Center in the commercial district. Grand opening celebrations will be held week-long at the Embarcadero Center Four (street level), where Freshii will feature free coffee with a food purchase during the morning and a 2-for-1 frozen yogurt happy hour from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
"Our fresh food, sourced from responsible, local farmers and green mission are components of a restaurant the people of San Francisco are asking for, so I'm thrilled to provide it," said Jeffrey Schlosser, Freshii's development partner in the San Francisco Bay area. "I'm very proud of the way we rethink business and look forward to being a conscientious and vital part of the landscape."
Schlosser has more than 20 years of restaurant experience, having served the last seven with Starbucks Coffee Company.
In Chicago, Freshii will open the city's fourth location near the LaSalle Street Financial District. Grand opening celebrations will be held at 111 W. Jackson Blvd., adjacent the Chicago Board of Trade. Throughout the day, Freshii will celebrate in-store and around the surrounding area with samples and specials.
The location is being opened by Scott A. Keeney, Freshii's Chicago development partner.
By the end of 2011, the company plans to have 52 open locations and currently has 60 open or in development.
