ZooHoo’s Eatery, a Wilmington, Vt.-based mobile food concept, recently completed both its grand opening and franchise development program. Now the company begins to grant single and multi-unit franchises.
The unique mobile food service franchise is the first to offer a fast casual dining experience to customers using a custom-designed food trailer.
The owners of ZooHoo’s Eatery are Adam and Karen Grinold, who Vermont Governor Jim Douglas described as “having tremendous potential with connecting to local farmers and food providers through the Vermont Fresh Network."
"Their creativity could make them the next Ben and Jerry’s," he added. Governor Douglas previously presented the Grinolds with the Brattleboro Development Corporation’s 2009 first place business plan award recognizing their outstanding concept.
The low-cost mobile food service franchise features quality, hand-patted, grass-fed burgers, fresh vegetable wraps, hand-cut french fries, and quality soft serve ice cream. In creating ZooHoo’s, the Grinolds recognized the opportunity that existed to be the first company to offer a complete mobile food service franchise system.

ZooHoo’s Eatery offers three different franchise models. The "Weekend Warrior" is designed for fairs, carnivals, festivals and similar events. The semi-permanent franchise is modeled after the company’s current location in Wilmington, and is located on properties leased or owned by the franchisee. The storefront franchise is designed for strip malls and other free-standing retail locations.
