Beautiful Brands International (BBI) will soon open the first self-serve FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Café in the FreshBerry franchise system. The new store will be located in Fremont, Calif.
“Our new self serve concept will be a huge part of our business strategy going forward. We have been working on this concept for awhile and know it will fill a niche market for guests who love the option of mixing and matching their favorite flavors," said David Rutkauskas, Beautiful Brands founder, president and CEO.
“Franchisees now have the option of three successful formats: self-serve, full-serve, or mall kiosks. We are thrilled with the opportunities to expand nationally and offer investors a proven franchise system that is very profitable yet flexible."
The new FreshBerry store will offer a rotating selection of 20 flavors and more than 30 toppings. Signature flavors include FreshBerry Tart, Decadent Dark Chocolate, No Sugar Added Vanilla, Pomegranate, Mango, Creamy Clementine, Lemon Chiffon, Raspberry, Acai Berry, and more. The store’s layout will feature self serve yogurt stations, plus a toppings bar to make it easy for customers to customize their own yogurt creations. Pricing for the dessert will be by the ounce.
The FreshBerry concept was created by Rutkauskas and his wife, Camille. The first FreshBerry café opened in January 2008 in Tulsa, Okla., and today there are 20 FreshBerry locations open across the world.
