GOLDEN, Colo., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- New World Restaurant Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets: NWRG) continues to expand its fast casual Einstein Bros. Bagels brand, with the opening of two new airport licensed locations. Air travelers will now be able to find their favorite Einstein Bros. menu items in the Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Opened in late July, the site in the Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport is the fourth Einstein Bros. licensed outlet to be located in a major airport. It was opened by airport concession operator CA One Services. The unit that debuted in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in late June is operated by dining service provider Anton Airfood/HMS Host, which previously opened an Einstein Bros. outlet in Memphis International Airport in September 2004. The first licensed Einstein Bros. airport location was opened at Detroit International Airport by Concessions International in February 2002. In addition to the four Einstein Bros. sites, New World's Noah's New York Bagels brand has licensed units in the San Francisco International and San Jose International airports. Both of the Noah's outlets are operated by HMS Host. "The Einstein Bros. and Noah's brands are proving popular in airport locations," said Greg Powell, New World senior vice president -- business development. "They provide our licensed foodservice partners with nationally and regionally recognized restaurant brands that offer a welcome comfort level for travelers in the fast moving airport environment. Both fast casual brands are known for providing high quality, fresh foods at each day-part, with attractive, innovative menus at breakfast, lunch or for a light supper." Matt Sullivan, New World senior director -- business development, added: "We are seeing a growing interest in our brands among leading dining services managers and providers. This is in keeping with a trend towards upscale brands in the creative retail environments developing in airports, colleges and other venues throughout the country." Including the six airport locations, New World has, to date, licensed 58 Einstein Bros. and three Noah's outlets in non-traditional locations, including college campuses, hospitals, military bases and hotels/resorts across the country. New World is a leading company in the fast casual restaurant industry. The company operates locations primarily under the Einstein Bros. and Noah's New York Bagels brands and primarily franchises locations under the Manhattan Bagel and Chesapeake Bagel Bakery brands. As of June 28, 2005, the company's retail system consisted of 442 company-operated locations, as well as 156 franchised locations, and 61 licensed locations in 34 states, plus the District of Columbia. The company also operates a dough production facility.
