OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Nov. 11, 2005 – Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar (Nasdaq: APPB) continues to bring great-tasting dishes to its guests by adding eight new items – including two panini sandwiches and a new Weight Watchers entree – to its menu. The company also has launched its latest Steak & Shrimp Double Features promotion, featuring four steak and shrimp combos, along with three new side dishes. The new items added to the fall lineup (menu items may vary by market): – New Sizzlin' Ribeye Skillet:A seasoned 12-ounce ribeye brushed in garlic butter, grilled and then served up in a hot skillet alongside sautéed onions and mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes and garlic toast. – New Rio Rancho Sirloin: Eleven ounces of tender, grilled steak topped with spicy queso cheese sauce, pico de gallo and sautéed onions and peppers. Served with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and garlic toast. – New Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu: A grilled breast of chicken layered with honey Dijon, sliced ham and melted Swiss cheese. Service with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, garlic toast and a side of honey Dijon. – New Italian Chicken & Four Cheese Panini: Grilled, seasoned chicken breast topped with melted parmesan, Swiss, jack and cheddar cheeses, roasted red peppers, tomato and crispy bacon. – New Reuben's Cuban Panini: Sliced ham piled high along with Swiss cheese, bacon and a spicy mustard sauce. Topped with dill pickle slices and zesty pepper rings. Served on a ciabatta roll. – New Weight Watchers Confetti Chicken: A grilled, seasoned chicken breast topped with a salsa ranch sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, and black bean and corn salsa. Served with rice pilaf, steamed vegetables and a side of roasted tomato salsa.
– New Grilled Shrimp & Spinach Salad: Fresh spinach tossed with tomatoes, red peppers, red onions, toasted sliced almonds, and topped with grilled shrimp. Served with bacon vinaigrette. – New Crispy Bread Pudding: Cinnamon sugar-coated bread pudding is fried to a golden crisp, yet remains creamy and warm on the inside. Served with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with rich caramel sauce. The Steak & Shrimp Double Features will feature four steak and shrimp combos – Cajun Steak & Shrimp, Teriyaki Steak & Coconut Shrimp, Garlic Sirloin and Grilled Shrimp Scampi and Classic Steak & Shrimp – as well as three new side dishes: Parmesan Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Butter Broccoli and Loaded Mashed Potatoes.
