NEW YORK — New York-based Tossed, a fast-casual salad concept, said it plans to open 200 restaurants within five years and has long-term potential for 1,000 U.S. locations. According to the company's Web site, the organization only has four locations currently open.
 
The Tossed franchising program was announced as a 14-month process. According to a news release, three franchised locations are expected to open in northern New Jersey in 2006.
