DEERFIELD, Ill. — Cosi Inc. reported that comparable restaurant sales increased 5.3 percent for the first quarter ended April 3. The restaurant said its company-owned restaurant revenue for the first quarter was $29.5 million compared with $27.2 million last year.
 
The company did not report franchise figures.
 
Cosi currently operates 95 company-owned and five franchise restaurants in 15 states.
