BURLINGTON, Vt. — Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. reported that first-quarter comparable sales grew 8.1 percent at company locations and 5.7 percent system wide.
 
According to a news release, this is the eighth consecutive quarter of comparable-restaurant sales growth for Bruegger's, marking a company record of consistent sales growth.
 
Bruegger's gross sales for the first quarter totaled $28.7 million, up from $24.3 million in 2004.
