• Back Yard Burgers reports soft comps, record revenues

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Back Yard Burgers Inc. reported soft same-store sales, but said revenue and net income were second-quarter company records. The period ended July 1, 2006.
 
Company-operated same-store sales increased 0.4 percent from the comparable period in 2005, and same-store sales for franchised restaurants increased 1.8 percent for the same period.
 
Revenue for the period was a record $11.7 million, up 8.9 percent over the comparable period. Net income rose 42.6 percent to $576,000.
