• Bruegger's Enterprises reports strong Q2

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. reported a strong second quarter.
 
The company said comps increased 5.8 percent at company locations and 3.9 percent system-wide for the second quarter ending July 11, 2006.
 
Bruegger's gross sales for the second quarter totaled $22.4 million, up 12.6 percent from $19.9 million in 2005.
 
Bruegger's expects to open 30 new bakeries by Dec. 31 and 50 bakeries in both 2007 and 2008.
