BURLINGTON, Vt. — Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. reported its strongest third quarter in recent years.
The fast-casual bakery café reported comp increases of 5.5 percent at company stores and 3.8 percent increase system wide. The private company did not report franchise same-store results.
According to a news release, this is the 10th consecutive quarter of comparable restaurant sales growth for Bruegger's, marking a company record of consistent sales growth.
"We are pleased to see the positive momentum continue into the third quarter, a good indicator that the company continues on trend for a strong year of sales and profitability," said James Greco, chief executive.
Bruegger's expects to open 25 new bakeries by Dec. 31 and 50 bakeries in both 2007 and 2008. There are 248 neighborhood bakery-cafes in 19 states.
