TORONTO — Mr. Greek Restaurants will post a nutritional guide on its Web site.
Mr. Greek retained the services of well-known nutritionist Rosie Maclean, co-author of "The Guide, Success with Prepared Foods," published by The Dietitians of Canada.
"Every recipe has been nutritionally analyzed and this information is readily available on their Web site," Maclean said.
In addition to the nutritional guide being posted on Mr. Greek's website, it also will be published and made available within all locations across the GTA. The guide includes a caloric breakdown, and fat, sodium, carb, cholesterol, protein, sugar and vitamin values per item.
"Mr. Greek joins a growing number of food-service chains that are providing consumers with detailed nutrition information to meet the wide variety of dietary needs and preferences of today's consumer," says Joyce Reynolds, senior vice president of the Canadian Restaurant Association's government affairs.
