ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The first franchised Salsa Rico, a Baja-style Mexican grill from Retail Brand Group LLC., opened this week in downtown Philadelphia.
The fast-casual restaurant combines an array of elements such as weathered wood, galvanized steel and bright colors, emulating ocean-front surf shacks found along the coastlines of Southern California and Mexico.
"Our new design ties a modern but timeless look with the bold flavors that have made Salsa Rico one of our fastest growing brands," said Husein Kitabwalla, vice president of operations and development for Allentown, Pa.-based Retail Brand Group, a subsidiary of Sodexho, Inc.
Salsa Rico has 17 campus and corporate locations throughout California. The restaurant offers an extensive collection of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, salads and specialty burritos, along with a wide variety of homemade salsas and guacamole.
