TROY, Mich. — Nextep Systems, provider of self-service kiosk solutions, has launched its Nextreme Outdoor Kiosk.
 
The kiosk employs an industrial PC with solid-state disk technology, typically found in military settings. The Nextreme kiosk also offers NEMA/4 enclosure with a powder-coated finish, 15-inch LCD touchscreen with safety glass, and requires no fans or other moving parts (except optional printer). Optional peripherals include a magnetic-stripe reader, barcode reader, keyboard, 17-inch display, wireless network card, and thermal printer – all rated for outdoor use.
 
Nextep Systems also provides automated ordering solutions to restaurants, concession operations, and casinos. Primary solutions include self-order kiosks, online ordering and digital signage.
