LOS ANGELES — Same-store sales at California Pizza Kitchen Inc. increased 6.9 percent for the 2006 fourth quarter ended Dec. 31. For fiscal year 2006, comps increased 5.9 percent.
Revenues increased 16 percent for the quarter, up to $146 million from $125 million for the same quarter last year. For the year, revenue climbed to $555 million, up from $480 million for FY '05.
Net income for 4Q '06 increased .08 percent, up to $3.7 million for 4Q '06 from $3.5 million for the same period last year. For the year, net income increased 10 percent, up from $19 million in FY '05 to $21 million in FY '06.
Average weekly sales for the company's 166 full-service restaurants increased 4.9 percent, to a record-setting $65,858 for the fourth quarter of 2006 compared to $62,801 for the same quarter last year.
