ST. LOUIS — Panera Bread Company May 2 reported system-wide comparable bakery-cafe sales increased 3.1 percent for the four weeks ended April 24, 2007.
 
Company-owned bakery-cafes comps totaled 2.1 percent for the four-week period while franchise-operated comps were at 3.6 percent.
 
The company will hold its 2007 Annual Meeting of Stockholders at 10:30 a.m. Central Daylight Time, on May 24, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clayton, Mo.
