FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Jeffery R. Smith has been named as chief financial officer of Margate, Fla.-based Salad Creations, the company announced in a news release.
Prior to joining Salad Creations, Smith served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Rotelli Pizza and Pasta, Inc. In this role, he was responsible for the sale of area development territories, accounting services, marketing, operations, real estate, legal and the execution of strategic plans, which included forecasting unit growth and corporate fiscal growth.
Additionally, Smith was previously chief operating officer and managing partner for Ala-Flora Deli, L.L.C., a Schlotzsky's Deli franchisee. In that position he arranged bank financing for multiple restaurants, acquired new units and raised investor capital for new projects. He also served as a senior franchise business consultant for Schlotzsky's Deli, director of operations for a Perkins Family Restaurant's franchisee and southeast regional manager for Maruki, USA, a multi-concept restaurant company.
