MINNEAPOLIS — Caribou Coffee Company Inc. reported a 1 percent decrease in same-store sales for the first 2007 quarter, ended April 2.
 
Total net sales grew 11 percent to $61.9 million compared $56.0 million reported the first quarter of 2006.
 
The company opened 48 new company-owned coffeehouses during the last twelve months. Additionally, franchise locations increased from 8 at April 2, 2006, to 33 at April 1, 2007.
