DEERFIELD, Ill. — Così, Inc. reported company-owned same-store sales for the first quarter of 2007 declined 2.4 percent. The company says the decrease consisted of a 6.5 percent decline in transaction count offset by a 4 percent increase in the average check, compared to the 2006 first quarter.
 
Total company revenues increased by 8.3 percent, to $32 million in the 2007 first quarter, compared with $29.6 million in the 2006 first quarter.
   
Così's net loss for quarter ended April 2, 2007, was $4.2 million, compared with a net loss of $3.9 million for the 2006 first quarter.
