JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Firehouse Subs announced May 21 that it will offer a new Sweet & Spicy Meatball Sub for a limited time beginning in June. The sub will be available in select 270-plus locations from June 11 through Sept. 27, 2007.

The Sweet & Spicy Meatball Sub is the already popular Meatball Sub, with Firehouse Subs' signature Captain Sorensen's Datil Pepper Hot Sauce and a dash of crushed red pepper.

According to Don Fox, Firehouse Subs chief operating officer, the Sweet & Spicy Meatball Sub was designed to maintain consumer interest and provide an exciting new menu choice to entice new guests.

Firehouse Subs recently introduced wheat sub rolls in all Firehouse Subs locations. The new addition was in response to customers' requests for a wheat sub roll option, according to the company.
