NEVADA, IOWA — Burke Corporation is sponsoring and funding the Iowa Section - Institute of Food Technologist scholarship fund.

The Iowa Section of the Institute of Food Technologists recognized the Burke Corporation as a Silver Level Donor for funding the Outstanding Graduate Scholarship. The scholarship was given to Krisha Miller, a graduate student in Food Science and Technology at Iowa State University .

Miller, a Minnesota native, researches comparisons of bran from several varieties of oats at Iowa State . After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in the food industry in product development or culinology. She earned her bachelor of science in nutrition and food science from South Dakota State University.
