THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, has announced the hiring of Jim Hicks as the company's new Director of Operations Services and Michael Conway as the new General Counsel.
He joins the company with 25 years experience in operations services and training.
Hicks' responsibilties include leading the development and implementation of process-improvement initiatives and managing new product rollouts. He also is responsible for creating and managing systems and processes to improve speed of service and guest satisfaction as well as leading the training department.
He most recently served as Director of Operations for National Everclean Services, a food safety and sanitation inspection, training and consulting firm. Prior to that, he worked at El Pollo Loco as the director of training and operations services, where he managed the rollout of a new point-of-sale system.
Conway will be responsible for overseeing all legalities and activities, as well as assisting in implementation of the company's brand strategy.
Conway will manage all legal issues and activities for Baja Fresh day-to-day functions. He also will continue development on the company's brand strategy.
Conway brings more than 11 years of legal experience. A native of California, he graduated cum laude from UCLA and received his law degree from Loyola Law School, Order of the Coif and currently sits on the Board of Governors for Loyola's Alumni Association Board. He also has authored several legal articles and has presented on a variety of business issues including business transactional and litigation issues.
