MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Giles Foodservice Equipment, supplier of foodservice equipment and ventless hoods and fryers, has appointed David Byrd as company president.
In his new role, Byrd will continue to grow the company as the brand expands its network and product offerings. Company owner and former president Ted Giles will become chairman and continue to work closely with Byrd.
Formerly, Byrd held the position of vice president of Giles Foodservice Equipment, overseeing the company's manufacturing process. Byrd has been with Giles Enterprises since 1989, most recently as vice president of the company's Chester Fried branded concept with responsibility for worldwide sales efforts.
Byrd presently serves as president of Cruisin' Fried Chicken and is responsible for the manufacturing process of National Flour Mills and Supply Company LLC; both companies are affiliates of Giles Foodservice Equipment.
