Chipotle, Farm Aid partner

DENVER — On Aug. 29, 2007, Chipotle Mexican Grill will donate proceeds from sales of its items made with naturally raised pork, beef and chicken to Farm Aid, a nonprofit organization that supports family farming and sustainable agriculture.

"We decided long ago that we didn't want Chipotle's success to be tied to the exploitation of animals, farmers or the environment," Chipotle founder, chairman and CEO Steve Ells said. "Family farms tend to preserve more traditional ways of farming and produce better food because of it."

Chipotle will contribute up to $50,000 to Farm Aid, the company announced in a news release.
