PHILADELPHIA — For the third consecutive year, SCA Tissue was named a Top 10 supplier by SYSCO Corp. and presented with a 2007 Gold Level Supplier Award at SYSCO's Annual Supplier Recognition Ceremony, held in Houston Oct. 19, 2007. SYSCO is the country's largest supplier to the foodservice industry.
SCA Tissue was selected from among the 2,500 preferred suppliers to SYSCO. As in 2005 and 2006, SCA Tissue was the only paper products manufacturer selected as a Top 10 Gold Level Supplier. SCA Tissue was ranked No. 7 this year.
"SCA's selection for this honor three years in a row speaks volumes about our organization's continued focus on being closer to our distributor partners and on providing solutions and services that meet their needs," said Don Lewis, SCA Tissue senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Other Gold Level award winners included Campbell Soup Co., Advance Food Co., Ventura Foods LLC, Lyons Magnus, ConAgra-Lamb Weston, McCormick & Co. Inc., Prairie Packaging Inc., Tyson Foods and Heinz North America.
