St. Louis Business Journal: Panera Bread Co.'s board of directors authorized the company to repurchase up to $75 million in shares from a broker by the end of the first quarter of 2008.

If Panera does not repurchase the full $75 million from the broker, the company can repurchase shares on the open market, according to a news release.
